The Kansas City Royals sign Kip Wells

The Kansas City Royals have signed 31-year old right handed pitcher Kip Wells for the remainder of the season. He will work out of the bullpen for the Royals. Wells pitched in 15 games (2 starts) for the Rockies this season and he was 1-2 with a 5.27 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP. Wells has good stuff so he might do a good job for the Royals. Wells has now pitched in 246 games (205 starts) in his major league career and he is 65-93 with a 4.64 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP. This was a nice low risk gamble for the Royals.
