The Kansas City Royals claim Colby Lewis off waivers from the A’s

This was an interesting move by the Royals who must have figured that they needed another pitcher that sucked to replace Odalis Perez on the roster. Lewis pitched in 26 games (1 start) last season with the A’s and he was 0-2 with a 6.45 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP. Lewis has had one of the worst careers as a pitcher in the last 20 years. He has pitched in 72 games (34 starts) in his career and he is 12-15 with a 6.71 ERA and a 1.81 WHIP! If the Royals ever have to use Lewis in a game…..they are in deep trouble.

UPDATE: The Royals have seen the light and release Colby Lewis which was very smart on their part.
